Hi all -
I have a audio processor which accepts standard MIDI in only (DIN, not USB). I'd like to use a volume pedal and translate the pedal position into MIDI CC messages to my processor.
Do I need to use the MIDI expression I0 for this, or is it possible to use the MIDI Expression?
Thanks!
Geoff
Which midi expression?
Re: Which midi expression?
It depends. Using the iO will definitely be the simplest and most robust solution. If you have other gear with MIDI out ports, however, you might be able to route the USB MIDI from a MIDI Expression out through your other gear and on to your audio processor.

Thanks Rob -
There's no other gear on this pedalboard, just a single guitar processor with traditional MIDI in/out/through. There is a USB A port, but as this is a new device, it's not enabled yet and it likely won't be used for USB MIDI anyway...
sounds like i'll need the IO, then, unless there's a small USB MIDI -> traditional MIDI adapter out there somewhere...
