Hello.
Is anybody knows that what i have to do?: I need add an extra midi pedal controller for a NI s88 midi keyboard controller with PianoTech software... I want to use the single channel "MidiExpression" model AudioFront interface. My question is how i should connect it... I should connect it directly to the host Computer by usb? Or i need connect it by usb directly to the keyboard midi controller?... Or i need to buy for that purpose, the Quattro or the "iO" model maybe? why?
If it's possible, for make more complete the information: Can anybody share please:
1) A basic connection map or basic connection diagram for each AudioFront Expression model, and
2) The function description for each connection port (front and rear panel) for them please.
That information doesn't are in the maker official Manual !!!... It's almost obvious for some... but sincerely:
I have doubts about the usb ports functions in the Audiofront midi expression units, e.g. : They are for power up or transfer data? Or Both? Or it depends for each model?...
Really Thanks a lot you guys!!!

Re: Basic Set up Connections for MidiExpression Models
Agreed. I will add a section in the manual to talk about the connections on the various devices in the MIDI Expression family.
For your needs, you could get by just using the single input version. Just plug the device into your computer and attach a pedal. In PianoTech, you'll likely need to go into the audio / MIDI setup and make sure PianoTech is set to accept MIDI from the MIDI Expression. The only reason to get the Quattro or the iO is if you want to connect multiple pedals.
Regards,
Rob
