Using DSP trigger to control light via a trigger

Post by Kiripilipo »

Hello

I have a real snare drum, on which i put a real Ddrum trigger.
The trigger is sending the impulse to Live9, to DSP trigger.
Then DSP trigger is sending it to a light machine (T10), via a software that convert midi in dmx.

The problem is that DSP Trigger seems to send very short signal (0.001sec) to the light. It's too short for the light to react.
I tested with a midi file i created, and it seems the midi impulse needs at least a 0.06 sec long signal to make the light work properly.

Is there a way to ask DSP trigger to generate a longer midi signal than the one he actually send?

Hope you understand my problem.

I understand what you are after. There's no easy way to change the length of the notes on your end at the moment, but I'm willing to make you a special build which produces longer notes.

HI

I finally might have found a midi plugin where i can set the note at a longer signal.
I have to test it with the real drum.
If it works, i'll post it here.

thanx !!
