Help with TD-17 into ED10 running EZ Drummer

Post by animal12 »

I am unsure what I am doing wrong. I thought I could run my Roland TD-17 into the host port of the ED10 which I then ran straight into my mac. I thought this would be a way to use EZ Drummer with all of the Roland TD-17 inputs and the ED10 at the same time?

Do I select “Generic” or “Vendor” on the TD-17 when running it this way?

Do I turn local control off or on?

I am reading the manual but it does not give a clear step by step on how this is done. It just shows a diagram that it is possible. I really appreciate any help you can offer here.

You should be able to. The eDRUMin isn't passing the MIDI from the TD-17 along to your computer?

Correct. Yes. I can run the TD-17 to my computer no problem. But when I go into the ED10 nothing.

Do you see the MIDI from the TD-17 in the eDRUMin MIDI monitor?
