Snapshots

Post by Gnasher »

I'm looking at snapshots in the PDF manual.

Do I have this right:

1) I can save a snapshot for an eDRUMin module if I plug a USB flash drive into the host post
2) I can then save the entire module settings, including how each pad is configured on each port
3) I can load this preset onto another module - or the same module - at any point in the future

Is that right?

That is correct. Snapshots don't need to be saved to USB memory though. The only advantage of saving them to a flash drive s that they can be loaded on the fly using a footswitch.

OK. But let's say I want to keep a permanent copy on my network drive (through the laptop).

I download the snapshot to a USB key right?

At this time, there's no way to specify 'where' snapshots are saved on your computer. However, from the Settings Panel of the control application, there is a shortcut that will open the folder where are the presets are stored. I suppose it's possible to copy one to a USB flash drive, but the eDRUMin expects the file to be in a particular location on the flash drive, so you're better off using the control application to save to preset onto the flash drive.
