Roland BT-1 -- Double tap for different command?

Post by bandit614 »

Hi -

I currently use a BT-1 (mapped to F#2) to tell my DAW via hotkey to play/pause

Is there a way that a "double tap" or "triple tap" within a certain time frame (1 sec? half a second?) can be programmed in so that it triggers a different midi note or command? (mute/solo/whatever)

Either to the edrumin itself, or via a 3rd party app?

I am using Mac OSX for reference.

Instead of time you may be more successfully requesting a different MIDI note based on velocity. So a max velocity hit is one midi note and something not max velocity is a different midi note.

There are four banks. Probably wouldn't be too hard to implement something to switch banks given the velocity of a hit.
