Good day. I have a CY13-R connected to my eDrumin 10. I am getting the bell triggering when hitting the bow at any velocity over 100. I have tried connecting a single cable and using bell sense as well as connecting both cables. I cannot figure out why it is triggering the bell on high velocity hits. It does not do this when connected to Roland TD-12 or ATV Xd3 module. I used the calibrate button as well as trying to setup manually.
Any ideas?
CY13-R Triggering Bow and Bell
Re: CY13-R Triggering Bow and Bell
You're gain sliding is probably set to high, causing signals to be clipped. Try turning the main gain slider down to it's lowest value.
Re: CY13-R Triggering Bow and Bell
Thanks Rob. I set the gain to as low as 2 but I am still getting bell triggering when I hit the bow after 120 velocity. I connected the cymbal to my ATV XD-3 and it worked perfect.
I connected a Yamaha pc135 to the Edrumin and it work fine.

I have that exact cymbal, but I use bell sense. I'll test it tomorrow and see if I can see any problems.
Re: CY13-R Triggering Bow and Bell
What are triggering sounds on? The problem is likely there. You can check the eDRUMin MIDI monitor to confirm it's sending the correct notes.
Re: CY13-R Triggering Bow and Bell
I am triggering sounds on AD2 but, You can see the bell icon light up on the Edrumin panel when I hit it. I will try to grab some video later today. Thanks for looking.

Here is video link of me testing with bell and bow/edge cables connected. I tried to get the screen and me hitting the cymbal for reference. If you need screen only of the UI or anything else let me know.

Bell Test
Testing the bell zoneRe: CY13-R Triggering Bow and Bell
I tried to reproduce the issue here, and could not. You haven't physically modified your pad to make bell triggering easier? Your pad isn't really worn out?
There are changes I could probably make to get pad working better (as you said it works on your TD-12), but I would be very hesitant as those changes would affect a large number of users who are not having any problems. Maybe I could add a bell sensitivity control, although I hate adding more controls and making the UI more cluttered.

Re: CY13-R Triggering Bow and Bell
Good day Rob. The pad has not been modified by me. I purchased it used but it was in mint condition. Maybe it is defective in some way. I no longer have the td-12 so can only test on ATV xD3. Not the best for testing this type of issue. I have a friend with a TD-50X. Will try it on that and see what happens. No need to make any changes. I will continue to see if I can get it working right. I have already switched to the Yamaha cymbal and will relegate this to crash status for now. Thanks for looking into it. I will update if I get any more info.
