Hi all,
I'm quite new to this so forgive if this is silly...
I'm trying to trigger using a Roland RT-30HR on a 3 ply mesh head. When I select acoustic trigger in the software, the little blips that happpen to show where you hit has landed on the head-rim scale stop showing? It's making it incredibly hard to get the balance sorted.
I'm also having VERY inconsistent results for mistriggering. Head hits triggering rim, vice versa, very similar strokes on the same part of the drum triggering different H/CS/RS each time? Sometimes I can get it feeling like a 50/50 as to whether a rim or cross will trigger from the same consistent motion. Any pointers would be appreciated!!
Thanks,
Rob
Rimshot Range with 'Acoustic Trigger' selected
Re: Rimshot Range with 'Acoustic Trigger' selected
That's a bug. I'll fix it for the next version. Just use the 'Mesh Side Piezo' pad type instead. The RT-30HR is designed for a acoustic snares, but should still work. Make sure it's fastened securely. I have one here and I'll test with if on my mesh snare this afternoon.

Cheers. I'll be interested to hear how it goes, I've been messing around for hours to no avail...

I just tried it mounted to my Roland PD125 and it works quite well, although it does have a bit of trouble with extremely low velocity hits to the rim.

Hmm. I'll have a try again soon, having looked at YouTube videos I'm shocked at how inconsistent my setup is in comparison.
