eDRUMin will need an update
VST too.
Midi 2.0. Seems pretty cool technology.

Re: Midi
How many drum modules support MIDI 2? How many drum apps support it? How will future apps take advantage of new functionality in MIDI 2.l? I wouldn't say it's really here.
Having a specification is helpful, but developers need APIs to work with, for which none exist. Making my own would be a huge undertaking.

Yeah I knew that it's not worth it yet. While there's no support by the softwares, it doesn't matter for the eDRUMin.Rob wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 3:18 amHow many drum modules support MIDI 2? It's just that it seems really great as a new version. A lot more nuances will be possible in the sound.
Re: Midi
I disagree. MIDI 1.0 is not the bottleneck in the pursuit of the ultimate electronic drum setup.
I do however expect MIDI 2.0 property exchange messages to facilitate coordinating drum hardware and VSTs setup. Basically plug and playability.
