Hi hat issues

Post by Subject »

Hi there,
I'm pretty new to eDRUMin, using the 10 model to run a electronic kit into my computer.

Having ongoing hat issues, which I think I have worked out what the issue is, but I can't seem to fix.

Basically the hihats don't play if something else is playing. So I play them alone, tweak the program get my sensitivity sorted, and all seems good, but then if I'm playing them with other things, they just don't trigger.

They are in their own unique midi channel, like I say, played in isolation, they work great, but the minute I use them whilst drumming, they only play on off-notes and such when there's nothing else. It's not a volume issue, ie it's not just them being drowned out, as they're not in the recordings graphically or audibly and they're in their own track, so not just wave-forms being hidden under other stuff.

Any thoughts or recommendations for fixing it?
Thanks in advance

Turn the crosstalk control for your hihat cymbal down. Thats likely the culprit.
