I stumbled across a strange one. The TD-17 slave module is missing MIDI notes over USB HOST port when the eDRUMin is not connected to the laptop with the app open. I first noticed this earlier today when I was playing off the TD-17 module sounds and I noticed the module was missing notes. I thought maybe the trigger settings were off so I plugged in the laptop and opened the app to see if something was wrong. It was triggering great once again. So then I unplugged the laptop and the TD-17 started missing notes again. So then I started a roll on the kick, and proceeded to plug in and unplug the USB cable to the laptop multiple times. The TD-17 module went from excellent triggering, with the laptop plugged in, to missing notes, with the laptop unplugged. I'm powering the eDRUMin with the recommended power source so I don't think the eDRUMin has reduced power when not plugged into the laptop.

So I just checked this again. The issue only pops up after the eDRUMin has been connected to the app. After I disconnect the USB cable from the laptop (the app must be open) the issue pops up, but then when I power cycle the issue clears up. Perfectly triggering again. So not a major issue. I just need to power cycle for now. Earlier I was not doing that.

No issue. With the laptop connected but app closed no issue when the USB cable is disconnected.

Last question. I'm not sure if you’re able to check this or not, but when you are experiencing the issue, are NoteOff messages for the missing notes still being sent?

I wouldn’t know how to check that. If that is like a cymbal choke or something I can check that. I mostly noticed the issue with the kick pad, and double stroke rolls on the Tom pads. Maybe some 1/16 note HH was missing. The kick and Tom is very noticeable.

BTW- the first I noticed it today the eDRUMin was last connected (and stayed powered, I had forgot to hit the power switch) since the night before. So it wasn’t like there is a minor hiccup just after disconnecting from the app.

I can't reproduce the issue here. I'm testing with a USB1.1 device though. I'm will build a simple USB2 MIDI interface when I've got more time and test some more.

I after some struggles getting the host port to properly support the iConenctMIDI4+ (doesn't in build 9, but will in build 10), I was still not able to reproduce the issue. How long ago did you buy your ED10? This might be an issue related to the first batch of devices I ordered.

Hi Rob,

Still no power (assume that's the issue) to my Hall effect pedal setup in 1.4.09. Went back to 1.4.05 again and the pedal works. I'm very happy in 1.4.05 so no hurry.
