Build 23:
Control App crashed while installing firmware, rendering both my devices unresponsive. Power-cycling made no difference. Cannot downgrade because devices are no longer recognized.

Code: Select all

Thread 9 Crashed:

Crashed in Apple's code. Not entirely sure why. Any chance the eDRUMin 10 was connected to a USB hub? Please send an email to support at audiofront dot net and I will help you recover the device.

Here's running build 24. He was updating using a USB hub. While I can't be sure that using the hub was the issue, I have seen problems when using hubs in the past and that's why I have that warning screen.

One small feature of build 24 is that it will auto calibrate hihat pedals that haven't been calibrated yet. VH-10, VH-13, FD-8, HD-1, HH65 will all the properly calibrated out of the box.

Changes in build 24
  • Uncalibrated hihat pedals will be auto-calibrated.
  • Changes to allow restoring a bricked device.

Unintended consequence of getting your device bricked... you get to start from scratch. And that's where eDRUMin shines. I had some presets saved, but I decided to take the opportunity to start anew, and for the most part, it took me 5 minutes per trigger at most, to get everything dialed in right where I wanted.

Thanks. I updated to latest macOS version with no problem. I thought this beta software was good and stable before. You continue to make a lot of nice enhancements. Thanks!
