Excellent! I really like the more detailed visual reference to know what instrument I have in which input. Thanks!Rob wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 4:25 amWhen an input is assigned as a 'drum map kit piece', then the icon for that particular piece will be displayed in the input selectors at the top of the UI. If an input is set to Note Banks, then the icon for the pad type is displayed (which is how it works in version1.6). I will likely allow the images for the 4 user defined kit pieces to be changed, but that still needs to be implemented.MisterE wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 2:38 amHey Rob,
I see that you have some cool new icons for inputs. Will we be able to assign an icon for a kick drum, for example, as opposed to a generic side trigger (which looks like a snare currently)?
Thanks for the continued improvements. We really appreciate it!

Hey Rob,
Just for clarity, was this response intended for me in regards to the icons? Just to let you know, I have never made my own cables and don't have any Yamaha pads connected.
Thanks,
MisterE

No... I had posted into the wrong thread.

Re: eDRUMin 1.6.2 BETA
crash report. I was trying to change my BT1 from sensor mode to XTalk mode. What I discovered was the option was not visible. So I tried to reselect the input as a BT1. I think it crashed after I switched from dual mono to stereo, then the option to switch from sensor to XTalk mode was visible. It was at about this time it crashed. Happened twice, but I only got one crash report. Turns outs the whole thing forced me to reset my BT1 input, and start over. I think I have cancelled out most XTalk now in sensor mode by increasing XTalk cancellation and reducing the gain. If I could make it work to go back to XTalk mode and link to input 1 I would. The option doesn't appear on dual mono though, and when I switch to stereo (leaving KD10 connected to right side input) it crashes.

Wow it is amazing the new features you are adding! I just read through this thread. Makes me glad that I chose to buy your product.
Will you be addressing the Hihat pedal being linked to dual mono inputs in the next firmware? I think you thought you could change it to link to just one?
What I am doing with edrumin 10 is using it for all hand drums and melodic percussion ... so far I am impressed with how much better it works than my old setup! Edge sense is working great even with my homemade pads!
If I update to a newer firmware, is there an option to roll back to an older version if it doesn't work for what I am doing or if for some reason I found the old version easier to work with? thanks for a wonderful edrum controller, Mbira

No going to happen. At least not until I can figure out how to make detection more reliable.Dadwrshpdrum wrote: ↑Sat Jan 29, 2022 8:04 pmDo you have an update on shallow rimshot functionality? Last I remember you had concerns on reliability and you needed GUI real estate for a new articulation.
Thanks, I can't reproduce this on Windows in version 2, but when I'm closer to complete the first BETA, I'll test again on OSX.
I think I can make it so that if an input is set to the Hihat Kit piece, it can be automatically assigned to the first hihat pedal. I'm not 100% sure that will work, but I'll give it a try and see how far I get. That would be nice because it would allow me to get rid of the 'link' control while also supporting multiple hihat pads.
Re: eDRUMin 1.6.2 BETA
I hope that works for an input set to hihat. So then just one of the dual mono inputs if set to hihat will get linked to the pedal. If you can pull that off that will be great. thanks, Mbira
