I played with it a bit and the bow is very quiet and the bell as well , so bell sense works sporadically. It seems as if the signal gets divided by 2.perceval wrote:regarding the ride.
you could try what Dave suggested above.
Another thing might be happening... the second piezo in the bell is wrecking havoc with the software... one solution would be to take out the bell piezo of the signal path. Then, the Bell Sense function would probably work more reliably.. using only one input as well.

Re: Zildjian LV converted test
Anders from zourman drums suggested the keith raper piezo-piezo to switch converter so that a 2 input cymbal gets seen as a yamaha 3 zone with one input, he says he’s still tweaking it and may have a solution soonish.

I built the KRC many years ago.lalo wrote:Anders from zourman drums suggested the keith raper piezo-piezo to switch converter so that a 2 input cymbal gets seen as a yamaha 3 zone with one input, he says he’s still tweaking it and may have a solution soonish.
Could never get it to trigger reliably, and after months of trying, I gave up.
With all the presets available in the device and more to come, I don't see the point of the KRC anymore.
Re: Zildjian LV converted test
Hi
I have another ride I did at the same time working great as 3 zone. I used the MT drums plug in tho.
Will see if I can rig up a 3 zone and help out
I'm on a work break but will be at the shop to paint in the week.
When I'm back in fully I will work on an under bell switch
I have bell switches that fix atop but need something hidden.

Sorry... I have to ask...
Dave, are you "Diamond" Dave?
Dave, are you "Diamond" Dave?
Re: Zildjian LV converted test
Affirmative, I made him aware of this thread.
Re: Zildjian LV converted test
Cool!
Welcome, Dave!
And enjoy a well deserved break... looks like you have been busy lately!

Why not? If I get good results I see no reason to set it as pedalMWJT42 wrote:Wait, I'm confused. Why would you run a GHC (or VH11) in impact mode?Rob wrote:Great to hear that impact mode is coming in handy.lalo wrote:The hats come with the goedrum controller and they work as expected as a vh-11 in impact mode
I made a short video showing how is triggering so far, chicks, splashes, bow, edge hits work pretty good.

Re: Zildjian LV converted test
Well, yes absolutely, why not! Do what works but I'm just confused as that's not how its supposed to work and to also see Rob chime in made me wonder if I'd got the GHC / VH11 setup wrong - especially after I'd made some noise about renaming 'stand' and 'pedal' inputs to accommodate these controllers...!lalo wrote:

Re: Zildjian LV converted test
I’m interested non this design. I’ve got components to convert my own LV cymbals so trying to get as much beta as possible. From the picture it looks like there is only one input. Are all three components wired to one or two inputs?
I’m planning to wire the edge switch and now piezo to one input and then the bell piezo to a separate input. Then plug it into 2 separate inputs on the edrumin and treat the bell as a totally different zone. This is how I was successful with my a to e cymbals on my roland td-12.
