Anyone use a BT-1?

So I got my BT-1 today. There's nothing special about this pad. If you want to use it in "sensitive" mode, just set the input type to mono. If you want to use it with its built in crosstalk cancellation, the input to "stereo", the pad type to "rubber pad", and finally the the "hit" note to something unused and the rim note to the note associated with the kit piece you want to trigger.

To use the BT-1 with its built in crosstalk cancellation, don't you want to say "finally the hit note to something unused and the rim note to the note associated with the kit piece you want to trigger."? I think it's the way it should be done.

I still can't get it to trigger at the same hit "force" as my other pads. I can do really soft buzz rolls on all of them, except the BT-1. It could just be the way the thing works, I guess. I'll record a quick video tomorrow to illustrate.

I suspect a cable issue then. It's extremely sensitive for me.

I've tried many cables, currently using a fresh Hosa, doubt that's it.

Here's a video. I often play very soft buzz rolls, and the response I get from the surrounding pads is superb. I tried my best to strike all pads with the same force, and you can see the BT-1 definitely needs more of a hit. Once it triggers the dynamics are all there, but it's almost as if it needs a lower threshold.

Note that for the video I switched the sample to a High Tom to better illustrate the dynamics. I normally use this as a cowbell so it's not much of an issue (I tend to not do buzzrolls on cowbells) but it's clear that the BT-1 is nowhere near as responsive as Roland other pads, even in "sensor" mode. If this is not something that can be fixed in the trigger module, so be it. It's fine for triggering short percussive instruments, which was the intended design anyway.
