The UI is a mess for me

Post by LooseSends »

First of all, it's hit or miss trying to save a preset since often times there is no way to type text into the title bar. Sometimes text will be available for the description and author. Yes, I'm clicking in the proper box to show a flashing text cursor but it won't accept any typing.

Secondly, depending on what size you scale the UI, buttons and options go missing.

Thirdly, elements overlap or disappear depending on scale. Like the Bank buttons overlapping other text.

I can probably come up with a few more but I imagine it has something to do with my install or something because it doesn't seem to be happening to anybody else.

I'm using a mini-pc with 8GB ram and onboard graphics. Runs my DAW and ADD2 just fine and I don't see scaling issues with any other applications.

Any ideas?

The bug with the preset titles is known and is/will be fixed in version 2. As for the the disappearing UI elements, just resize the UI more slowly. I don't have another workaround (except to not allow the UI to be resized).

I can live with it. I know that working on UI only takes valuable time away from the more important features.

I might as well also report that I found a workaround for not being able to reliably save presets. If I press the "save preset" button it's about 50/50 that the "save" button will be greyed out and non-functional. I also have to be sure to type in the Title field first before selecting any brand buttons or it will be impossible to type into that field at all, OR not possible to type into the "description" and "author" fields.

Either way, I can save presets now which is good enough for me. I'm sure you'll get to it when time affords doing it.
