I have two of the 10” ATV toms plugged into the same input on my eDRUMin 10 to trigger Superior Drummer 3. I am using dual mono inputs.
This is all working as expected until I turn on edge sense. Then all of a sudden the tom heads trigger the rim sound and the rims the head sound.
Has anyone encountered this before? If so, what is the workaround?
Thanks.
Weird behavior with ATV toms & edge sense
Re: Weird behavior with ATV toms & edge sense
If they're consistent, just swap the head and edge notes over in eDRUMin.
Re: Weird behavior with ATV toms & edge sense
You probably have the 'Yamaha wiring' setting enabled or you have made your own cables and connected the wires wrong.

Re: Weird behavior with ATV toms & edge sense
I had something similar with a 12” alesis DM10 pad I just plugged in as a side snare. Works great plugged in mono apart from when I put edge sense on. I ended up just switching it off and waiting for my ed10. It’s not a pad I NEED side stick on anyway…

Hi Scott,
I have not turned on the Yamaha wiring option and am using 2 TS cables into a male TRS to female ring and tip splitter. All cables were purchased on Amazon. Do I need to use TRS cables into the splitter?
Thanks.

Then try turning the 'Yamaha wiring" button on. It should reverse the hit / edge detecting.

Hi Rob,
Just as an FYI, when I went to switch to Yamaha wiring the option was greyed out. I have both pads in the dual mono input setup as mesh side trigger.
Not looking for an answer as the earlier suggestion of switching the midi notes worked for me. Just thought you may want to know in case the is not an expected behavior.
Thanks.
