I"m considering replacing my Roland PD-125 with a drum-tec pro 14" snare. Do other's have experience with the drum-tec snare? I"m hoping it will have better dynamics and more consistency velocity for hits. While my Roland PD-125 works pretty good with the ED10 still there's some hot-spotting and it seems at times hard to get nice consistent velocities in the upper range without maxing to 127. Also, I feel rimshots could be more controllable and velocities their velocities be more consistent. The ED10 is fantastic at tweaking parameters to address these issues but I think I'm getting about as much out of the PD-125 as is possible.
So I'm curious if others have any experience with the drum-tec pro snare. It seems an obvious upgrade path but hard to say without actually trying it.
Any advice is appreciated.
recommend drum-tec pro snare and ED10?

I have no experoence with the PD-125 from Roland but I play the drum-tec pro custom snare drum with an ED10 and I can tell you that it works just fine.

I've got a drumtec pro custom snare recently to use in my ED10 setup, and I am very pleased with it overall, no issues so far.

Thanks for the feedback! Just to know that there are others with a drum-tec pro snare and ED10 that are happy customers is great!
