App Stuck at "Plug-in Midi Expression" Screen
When I open the Midi Expression Control App on Windows 10, I can't get past the "Plug-in Midi Expression" screen. I press the "Restore Control Interfaces" button and unplug then plug the Midi Expression IO device back in to the computer, yet the Midi Expression Control App still doesn't recognize the device. I know that my computer is recognizing my expression pedal (M-Audio Ex-p), via the Midi Expression IO device, as I can record CC7 data using the pedal in my DAW (Digital Performer). However, I would like to record CC 11 instead of CC 7 and need the Midi Expression Control App to do that.

Are you using the latest version of the software? How long ago did you order your MIDI Expression iO?

I am using the latest version of the software offered by the website. My MIDI expression iO is an older iteration. (It has more of a cylindrical shape than the model now). Thanks for your help!

Some questions:
1. Does your device use a USB-B connector or micro USB connector?
2. Does the device function without the control application (send MIDI when you plug in a pedal)?
3. If no to question 2, if you remove all pedals and look inside the device via one of the jacks in the front, do you see an LED flash once when you connect the USB cable?

Re: App Stuck at "Plug-in Midi Expression" Screen
To answer your questions:
1. The device uses a micro USB connector.
2. The device does indeed function without the control application; I verified that with the app MIDI-OX. As well, the pedal's data is received in my DAW as CC7 volume data. However, what I would like it to do is to send CC 11 data instead of CC 7. From my understanding, I need the Midi Expression Control app working in order to do that.
Thanks again for your help!

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, when I download the zip file, the folder is empty, there is no installer inside.
Re: App Stuck at "Plug-in Midi Expression" Screen
Right... I was just deleting old archives and forgot that I needed to save that one. I have it backed up somewhere. Can you try this? Open the latest version of the control application, click on the background 11 times, select 'MEIO' from the list on the left, and click 'recover'. If that works, you'll probably need to factory reset your device. I'll look for the backup of version 2.7 tomorrow.

The link for version 2.7 should work fine again.

Thank you Rob! Unfortunately, this version of the app doesn't work for me either. (I'm on Windows 10 Pro version 21H1.) is there something I'm missing?
