Just a heads-up: for most users this means you’ll have to re-calibrate your pedal. It did for me. No issues otherwise; solid update.

No, that shouldn't affect your hihat settings at all. This update doesn't make any changes to your device's settings.

In version 1.6 the NoteOff message for the closed hihat pedal note was only sent when the pedal was released. This could result in closed pedal notes that were ridiculously long. In version 1.6.1 after 200ms have passed the note off message is sent even if you're still pressing down on the pedal.

Fair enough. I had to tweak the Gain and the Splash Sense after the update, but I suppose that was just me.

Does loading this latest beta version erase anything memory wise?
This beta updated the firmware (on both units, from 1.6.0.09 I think...).
I had made a number of recent changes, especially bell sensing and midi note assignmenton a 2nd ride, and the changes were not present after I booted up and installed this latest version.
Bell sensing was not enabled, and its assigned midi note number was incorrect as well, i.e. the one that shows up when re-enabling bell sensing.
I checked on the other (3) note assignment pages for that cymbal's assignments to see if I'd forgotten something somehow :? but that wasn't an issue.

btw (another question) when switching note assignment pages, bell sensing remains enabled - is that intentional?
there may be cases where a bell doesn't apply (no articulation available), but I guess the bow and bell could be just assigned to
the same number for that situ

I don't know if anything else that was recently modified is different - haven't found anything yet.
Seems ok, other than the above mentioned bell sensing thing.
I haven't made any new device snapshots recently, but I will now.

Could you have had some unsaved settings that were lost during the update? I suspect that's the issue. I'll add a confirmation dialog in the next build that will show up if the device has unsaved settings.
