Hola amigos,
im completely new to the e-drum world, drumming in general honestly...
I dont have any drumkit yet and want to start with a very basic kit (Kick, Snare, Hihat) due to space restrictions.
While browsing the Web and this Forum i tried to get as much Information as possible in my Newbie-Head, but i still cannot pull the trigger with good consience.
Could you guys help a brother out, when it comes to which pads would be the best a option?
I read the list of all supported Pads, but i really dont know, which play the best and if some of the more expensive pads offer features, that dont apply in conjunction with eDRUMin.
In a nutshell: I would like to get Pads, that have positional sensing, a lot of playing zones and work well with eDRUMin (most natural feel i guess?).
Here is what i came up with:
Kick: Roland KT-10 Kick Trigger Pedal (Because i read, that this is a silent solution, but feels alright?)
Snare: Roland V-SnarePad PD-125BK, Roland 12"x04" PDA120L-SBK, Roland PD-128S-BC V-Drum Mesh Snare
HHat: Roland VH-11 or Roland VH-10
I went with Roland to narrow down my options, but i really dont care wich brand itll be, if there are better options.
I would apreciate any kind of input:)
Best Pads w/ eDRUMin

Those pads sound like great choices, but the kt-10 most certainly isn't silent. I think the kt-9 might be silent though, although I have no experience with that kick pedal.

Cool, thank you Rob.
Which off the listet Pads would you choose exactly? Is there one, that would work better than the other?

I don't think the PDA120L-SBK supports positional sensing, so if that future is important to you, you'll want to stay away from that one.
I have a PD-125 so it's easy for me to recommend that one, but I imagine the 128 works just as well.

My first e-kit 13 years ago was a Roland TD-3. Over the years I have swapped out and exchanged and upgraded pretty much every part of that kit, except for the rack, and the KD-8. In my opinion, the KD-8 is the best low-end kick pad Roland has ever produced. It's got a flexible soft rubber surface, backed by a foam cushion, and the feel and rebound is as close to a real kick drum as possible. Again, in my opinion! I'm using a KAT Silent Strike beater on it, which is basically a small cloth-covered rubber ball, and the whole setup is by far the quietest part of my kit. Certainly a lot quieter than the nasty *slap* you get on a mesh kick pad (not to mention the tennis racket rebound you get on those.)
So that's my recommendation. Get a KD-8. You can still find them; they're abundant and cheap and reliable.

VH-10 and VH-11 are nearly identical. Find the least expensive option and go with that.

Good to know! That for sure saved me some possible headaches.
