I have used a TrapKat for many years. After all this time I still can't get used to the high hat being one of the pads. I want it to be higher than the Trapkat surface. So I thought that I would get a Roland vh-10 but with that plus a hi hat stand and a edrumin the cost is over $600! A whole td-17 kit is around $1700 including stands and pedals. Even going cheap on used gear and the edrumin is around $350. So, I thought how about I use the HatKat and the Bt-1 with the edrumin?
I don't know the method (FSR etc) that the HatKat uses, but does this seem possible?
