Midi VST noise that seems to come from Edrumin software?
Midi VST noise that seems to come from Edrumin software?
I thought I had latency problems or too many VST's going at once (although I only had 2-3) and have been fooling with settings. I also seemed to have much more problem in Reaper. In Gig Performer not sure I had any although I thought maybe a bit. Today I started to hear it a lot (like a crackly, staticky sound) in Reaper with 2 VST's going. I turned off Edrumin software (Win10) with Edrumin still on and the noise was gone. I tried it a few times. It wasn't immediate but after fooling with various settings in the Edrumin app like gain and changing note numbers it would start again. Is there a setting I have wrong? Thanks

I'll take a look to make sure CPU usage is at an acceptable level and no extra drawing is being done later this week, but I think it's already well optimized. One thing you can do is to make the UI smaller. The larger you make the UI, the more time your system needs to spend drawing.

Thanks for the reply.
On my old edrum module if I had it in any kind of editing mode, like changing volume, sensitivity etc, and I didn't exit out of it I would start getting mishits. Before I figured out the connection the between the Edrumin software and the midi noise I was on another forum trying to find out why all that noise and one said maybe I should change my latency, buffer settings. I don't understand them very well but I remember arriving at them through following the instructions of a loopback test. I was having trouble at that time with the VST not being in sync with the edrum sound. I'm not using them right now but I'd have to test against edrum sounds if I made any changes. By the way, I think being able to have edrumin software as big as I want as an advantage. I had one program, for my old module, that couldn't be made larger than a 1/4 of the page and it made it very hard to see.
