There is nothing special in SD3 you have to do. Other than making sure the articulation is turned on and that the eDRUMin is passing the correct MIDI note. Can you upload a picture of your trigger to show how you have it mounted? When you say “Closer to the mesh head” it leads me to believe you don’t have this set right. The cone is supposed to touch the mesh head.

Here is a very crude drawing. When the mesh head is put on and tightened down it will touch the cone and press down on it a little.

Hi Rob,

Attached image of my jobeky trigger if that helps?
I can raise threshold but I’m already losing some light snare head hits.

Ok if it's supposed to touch then I do not have it setup right! Newbie error there. I'll get back to you, I misunderstood the bearing height.

What I do is take the batter head off and lay a straight edge across the top of drum and then adjust the trigger so that the cone is at the preferred height.

These rim triggers are the weakest part of the system for me. By the time you put the rim on and the rim silencer rubber it is hard to vibrate that rim piezo. I mount mine as close to the top of the drum as I can and close as possible where I will be hitting the rim for my side sticking. I also make sure it is touching a lug nut hoping to get just a little more vibration though the lug.

I actually can’t get it to the right height. There isn’t enough length in the jobeky height adjusting screws.

Attached picturws if It makes sense.

I tried to reverse the L shaped brackets but then it was far too high.

In your first picture you can place a couple of washers between the brass angle and the black arm. The bolt might not be long enough so a trip to the hardware store may be required.
