Hello I got suckerd into a MEgadrum and their whole operation its total crap.. to be honest ... no one helps you and the creator acts like hes is too important to care about the people that bought his product.. with that being said I want to build a massive kit do you have plans to create a module with 32 or 50 ports? but even though can you please tell me if I can daisy chain 3 ed10's how would I go about doing that? .. can someone point me in the proper drum wiring that will work with this? I am planning on rewiring my 8 pintech drums then I will buy a few ed10's can you please help me get started on the right path .. I am totaly burnt and Im looking to make a switch.. I just dont want to get burnt again ... thanks
Also I apologize if this is in the wrong place I wasnt sure where to post this at,
hello
Re: hello
My suggestion is to download the manual for version 1.5.0.19 and read it cover to cover.
https://www.audiofront.net/downloads.php
Wiring diagrams are covered in the manual.
But the short answer is yes… the eDRUMin will do what you want. You can chain three ED10s together to get 30 inputs. I use two ED10s myself.

Re: hello
There's a section in the manual about the USB HOST port, which is definitely worth reading.
Basically you can connect a USB hub into the host port of the one of th devices and then connect up to 4 eDRUMins into the hub, giving you 50 inputs.
And then you could have 4 groups of 5 eDRUMins for a total of 200 inputs.

Re: hello
OH MY GOD .. I actually got on a forum that they respond to. On the MD forum I even resorted to paying someone for help. Not Slam on him he was a good guy .. but thats just sad.. I will definitely look at the manual.
LOL
I'm kinda a Portnoy type of guy my self
I just have been collecting different drum sets.. and wanted to make a large kit. i currentel have
8 concertcast 10'' pintech, 2 kd120s, something like 20 cymbals, and a simons 8 pad drum module .. so I have a pretty good start. now I just need the brainpower and support from a good forum to help me make this dream come true.. I'm the type of person Ill try to learn it on my own. once I know help others If I know the answer so I will be active here. I just dont have time to take an electronics engineering class and buy ossciliscopes just to make my drums work LOL
This is off to a Great start.. you guys are awesome I cant thank you enough for the replies !!
what is your stock on the ED10's are you low do I need to order them right away ? Curious where is this company based from?

Re: hello
OK, I'm blown away by your videos.. the ability of the unit.. your reply to customers ... Great job!!
let me ask you a few small questions.
1) Would DSP trigger work with My mega drum module? at least till a can sell it and buy the ED10?
2) can you tell me what makes one work better with edge sense than others? is it the placemen or piezo quality?
3) do I need to "cool the piezo" with pots like I have to with MD? if so what type of pot (Linear, Rotary) and what value should I use?
just curious would you be able to send me a picture of the inside of one .. I would be curious if I could take them apart and make them rack-mountable
( or even if you can send me the actual dimensions perhaps I can just put 2 in a rack module and run wires extensions to the back and keep the units intact. (preferred method) unless they need special cooling,

Re: hello
The dimensions can be found here: https://www.audiofront.net/eDRUMin.php then click on the Specs tab at the top.
The faceplates are held on with screws and while I’ve never taken an ED10 apart I think it would be easy enough for you to do when you get them. My advice is to leave them intact and figure out a mounting solution when you have them in hand.
As far as pots, etc… again I’d wait until you have one in hand and start with the simplest solution first and go from there. I haven’t heard of too many users adding pots but there are a few that did. I’m using Jobeky triggers and they work fine right out of the box, no pots.
The ED10 doesn’t need cooling.

Re: hello
And to answer the fist question, DSP TRIGGER doesn't work with modules. It works with pads plugged into a line input on an audio interface, and it's no longer under development.
As for your second question, understand that this is a trade secret, so I won't go into details. I'll only say that I've never used a Roland mesh drum that didn't work well with edge sense. DIY crossbar trigger designs should also work well assuming a stiff connection between the crossbar and the shell of the drum.

Re: hello
I read midi section in the Manual and it didnt state how it handles midi units like the Roland octopad or simmon SDMP1 will the midi still work on triggering sounds ( they are passive and have no internal sounds themselves
is there still a way i can use this ?
