Jobeky rubber cymbals support(ed?)

Hi. Does anyone have configuration information to use Jobeky Rubber cymbals? I have a three zone ride (two connectors)but can’t get edrumin (4) to recognize anything but the ride. No edge, no bell. Can anyone provide a clue how to configure this?

Jobeky's gear is quite non standard. You notice how they have 5 versions of that cymbal depending on which module you plan to use? My guess is that you'll want to use one of the Metal Cymbal pad types.

I don’t know whether they hve five versions or whether they ask about the module only for statistical purposes.

Maybe you can give me some directions which options I might try to get it to work, rather than advising me to buy yet another cymbal. I would appreciate that.

I'd say to keep calm, I think this was a setting advice, not an advice to buy another cymbal.

My guess is that you'll want to use one of the Metal Cymbal pad types.

Personnaly, I would say that this Jobeky cymbal has a bell switch... So Metal cymbal cymbal type should not really help but give it a try, I'm maybe wrong.

In fact, I think those Jobeky cymbal are just the same as the "lemon cymbals" found on alibaba. They're known to have compatibility issue due to an error in the wiring... Maybe you should first ask to jobeky how your cymbal is wired. That should help a lot more.

Jobeky confirmed to me that the ride cymbal is wired the same as Roland cymbals.

But when I choose a Roland ride cymbal then the eDrumin only shows a single cable whereas my ride has dual connectors. That kinda leaves me clueless.

I don't really understand your problem, do you actually set the input to stereo ?

Check this short video explaining the problem with lemon cymbals, you'll see that your cymbal is exactly the same except the rubber covering. I'm not sure it will help you though :

Thanks, mate. I know this video and had already checked the wiring.

The problem which I encountered was caused by something funny in the software interface. I was looking under “cymbals” for an appropriate setting, but the preset for the two-wire Roland compatible cymbal is listed under “Roland” and not under “cymbal”. Food for improvement...

Now I’m waiting for the midi cable to arrive and then get the notes into my drum module. Fingers crossed!
