Sorry, that was my 6am smartphone answer. Here's some better information.

eDRUMin doesn't send out a separate 'open' hihat sound. Instead it uses CC4 to tell the sound engine (in your case AD2 I believe) precisely how open the hihat is and it's up to AD2 to trigger the open hihat sound based on that CC4 value.

So the way I see it, there are two possible problems you might be having.

1. You don't have the proper note assignments set up in AD2. Take a look at page 34 of the manual to see how to set this up properly.

2. Your pedal is not calibrated properly, so when you take your foot off the hihat pedal, the CC4 position is not registering 0 like is shown in the screenshot below.

I finally find how to fix this addictive drum 2 bug... in the mapping window on ad2, when you select the hi hat, a reverse button appears and when you hit this button, it reverse the hi hat.

Thanks for sharing that. Do you think you could attach a screenshot of that setting so I can add it to the manual? I don't actually have AD2.

I downloaded the demo and I can see the setting, so I'll get my own screenshot. Thanks.

Ok, I'm just triggering my DTX 700 module right now, to keep it simple.

Here's what's happening with the hi-hats:

Hi-Hat Edge takes a lot of force to trigger, which usually triggers the Bell too.

Hi-Hat Pedal Close is extremely high gain. When playing quarter notes on the hi-hat (Bow region) and I open the hi-hat pedal, I don't trigger the hi-hat open at all, but I hear the pedal close "chick" sound, which is really loud.

I'm wondering if the DTX 700 doesn't see/interpret CC4 pedal data?
