Presets for Roland TD-17?

Post by V.D. King »

hi, first post. just bought a 4 holer to make the VH-10 hat in my Roland TD-17 kit not suck so much with Superior Drummer 3. Wanted to try out some of the mesh pads with it, too, but don't see an presets for those pads in the software. Are there any? Thanks in advance

Presets would not be under something like "TD-17 pads".

look for the actual pad's name/model in the presets.

Just be aware that as of now, there are no presets for pedal settings. You will of course find the VH-10 in the presets, but only as a cymbal pad. You'll have to check the manual, and this video, to get a feel for how to adjust the settings in the pedal editor.

I realize there could be more presets, but I only have so many pads. The option is there for users export and share, but there's not much interest and ultimately it only takes a minute or two to dial in a pad.

In my experience, a preset is at best a useful starting point, but it all depends on your specific configuration and especially your playing style. You will have to spend some time dialing in settings for each and every pad you own, no way around it. And even between two identical pads, settings sometimes need to be adjusted due to manufacturing anomalies. On the plus side, this will give you a great understanding of what the eDRUMin can do.
