I'm not 100% sure, because my e-knowledge is limited, but I understand this as a method to convert a double-piezo & Switch cymbal to a yamaha-3-zone style cymbal.

That’s how to convert a piezo to a switch. I’ve read it is pretty inconsistent but I’ve never tried it. It’s beyond my abilities.
That’s ace. No idea how an under switch will work, but very stealthy. Presume it also dampens the cymbal like the rubber edge does. I don’t like the feel of the rubber, or how it plays differently to the bow (although less of a problem with 1.4 separate velocity curves) + my sticks get covered in black.
2 of my Myrk membranes have now failed, so this seems like a suitable upgrade.
I just saw that they started to sell their rubber strip that goes under the cymbal.
I'm trying to analyze how they did it.
They seem to use the same membrane that is on the top usually but put it under with the rubber strip. I was wondering if they are only bow and choke but on their website it says it's bow edge choke.
So do they use the same kind of switch under the cymbal and it works?

Interesting. That rubber looks kind of like rubber seal for thresholds or garage doors. I might try that but I would need to first figure out how to remove my edge switch without damaging it. Goedrum has great products but their shipping costs are crazy to the us.
Just curious, how do your myrks keep breaking? I haven’t had on break yet but I’m not a hard hitter or play nearly as much as I’d like to.

They've all sheared where the metal prongs meet the plastic. I can't work out why, as I cable tied them down and used shrink tube to hold them.

I soldered mine, which may have caused a weakness as I've since read that you can put some sort of prong fitting into them? Myrk's fitting instructions left a lot to be desired.
Most people don't have issues, so I'm happy to explore these again if I get some clarity of best method to fit them.
