Thanks for the additional Info. Much clearer now...

Good stuff. Yeah, a 'No' seemed a bit abrupt and not very useful! Let me know if you have any further questions.Dewaaachner wrote:Ok, so that is a clear "No" to my question

Re: DIY cymbal advice
Just saw this new 3 zones cymbal without rubber rim from goedrum.
I'm wondering if the membrane will be available separately :

They have a 360 switch, by joining either 4*90 or 2*180 I think. All the bits are available separately, and plug and play.thenewdrummer wrote:Just saw this new 3 zones cymbal without rubber rim from goedrum.

The Project Beats guy did some vids on them last year I think.

No that's not the same. It's a switch that goes under the edge. So there's no rubber rim and no switch on the top. So the feel must be better.MWJT42 wrote:They have a 360 switch, by joining either 4*90 or 2*180 I think. You can see on a drum, we can see the switch under

Re: DIY cymbal advice
Oh!
That’s ace. No idea how an under switch will work, but very stealthy. Presume it also dampens the cymbal like the rubber edge does. I don’t like the feel of the rubber, or how it plays differently to the bow (although less of a problem with 1.4 separate velocity curves) + my sticks get covered in black.
2 of my Myrk membranes have now failed, so this seems like a suitable upgrade.

I was about to drill a hole in my cymbals to install the myrk membranes that I received but seeing that new cymbal and that yours failed I don't know if I should wait.MWJT42 wrote:Oh!

I wrote them to see if it will be available as a membrane or only as a cymbal.

Re: DIY cymbal advice
They said it's not sold separately for now.
Maybe if a lot of people ask for it they'll change their mind

Re: DIY cymbal advice
I’m trying to use the goedrum 3 zone set up with their 180 “on top” switch and tiny bell piezo but cannot figure out how to get the edrumin to recognize it. The metal 3 zone trigger type is not clickable for some reason in my edrumin software. This may be because I’m stuck (for now) on on firmware 1.0.
Can any one vouch for/share settings for a 3 zone low volume cymbal?

Can you update the firmware because 3 zone metal cymbal is a pretty recent addition?Seinsohn wrote:I’m trying to use the goedrum 3 zone set up with their 180 “on top” switch and tiny bell piezo but cannot figure out how to get the edrumin to recognize it.
