Hello All!
Just starting my journey into building my own electronic drum kit and I'm trying to decide on where to go.
Last week I came across a bookmark I made ages ago for DSP Trigger and it took my planning in a very different direction.
Basically I'm an "audio engineer" and already own a bunch of gear. I'm planning to buy SD3 for my samples and have no need for a module. I want to put together a standard 5pc kit with hihats/2 crashes/ride.
I'm going to be making my own triggers for the drums and will buy probably Yamaha cymbals and a Geo GHC for the hihat.
So would it be better to use my current audio interface (I have 8 channels) with trigger DSP to setup my kit or buy the edrumin10.
Any insight would be great!
Cheers!
Audio Interface with Trigger DSP vs eDrumIn
Re: Audio Interface with Trigger DSP vs eDrumIn
With the eDrumin device, you also get pedal input(s) for HH, MIDI changes, etc... which you don't get if using a regular interface with DSPTrigger.
Building a kit, I'd go with the eDrumin... it has everything DSPTrigger has, plus extra.
