I'm seeing it, too. I know what that is. It's fixed in the next build. Thanks.

Everythign is great... Except my Roland Cy 12rc. Still cant use it in 3 way mode, and if I want bow / bell I need to plug it in via the bow/edge input, reset the port, then plug it back in and it works fine. Major pain every timne I reset. Tried multiple plugs/cables and it works 100% in the original Roland module. I wish I knew how to help troubleshoot this because it must be some sort of value the cymbal outputs when the module checks on it. I cant tell how old my cymbal is, but its the white bottom and it has never been modded or opened up. Im almost tempted to sell it and buy the CY 15 or 14 just to avoid this hassle.

I have a CY-12C-BK on order. It seems they've discontinued the RC. I'll get Bell Sense working for it and I'll look to adding an option to disable the compatibility check.

Ultimately the problem with your cymbal is that the membrane switch for your bell is not completely open. I suspect if you use a multimeter to measure the resistance between sleeve and the ring connection it won't register OL (open loop).

Datapoint: I've had a CY-12R/C for many years, and it's one of the best performing cymbals I've ever owned on any module, including eDRUMin.

One thing you can do is setup an input to Roland Dual Zone and plug the BOW/BELL connector into that input and tell me how many times the LED flashes when the compatibility warning comes up.

Here's build 13. I've added a hidden method of disabling the compatibility check. After you've updated your firmware, go back to the firmware update section. There's an extremely faint checkbox called "Disable Compatibility Check". Hold down SHIFT and ALT and then click it and it will become visible. Use at own risk. I'm attaching a screenshot. SHIFT-ALT-Click in the red rectangle.

Please bare in mind, that there likely really is an issue with your pad. Either your BELL membrane switch is damaged, or there's a short circuit between to piezo (BOW) and switch (BELL).

Hi Rob,

Version 1.04.12 was able to recognize by Hall effect pedal for the first time as you predicted.

Heads up to people upgrading. When I first was testing the update the pedal was sensed as a momentary (Piano sustain type). I manually changed the pedal type to a different type and then toggled the sense button and it correctly picked the expression pedal.
