It allows you to adjust the range of transmitted CC4 values independently from the physical movement of the pedal. This can be useful for certain specific setups. I simply step on the pedal a couple of times and be done with it.dsteinschneider wrote:I noticed recently I could click on the edge of the green bar for the hi-hat pedal calibration and pull it wider. Is that a feature and if so what is it for?

Re: eDRUMin version 1.4 BETA now available
Possible bug. I had just downloaded version 8. I was fine tuning my HH pedal this morning. I had originally calibrated and set up my VH10 per the video online.
Specifically I had Bank 1 notes set up for EZDRUMMER2, and my goal was to make bank 2 notes set up for my slave TD-17 module. So I had bank 2 selected and reloaded notes from the Roland Drum Map. At first all was okay, but when I selected another bank (I was on 2) the GAIN changed from 26 to 1. I didn’t immediately pick up on it because I didn’t really notice an audible decline in chic sound, so maybe only a display issue??? However, I could repeat this several times to confirm behavior.
Edit: all of this was on the pedal editor and I had advanced selected.

Great details In your description of the issue. That makes it so much easier to track down the problem. I've off to bed, but I'll look at it in the morning. Thanks.

Confirmed and fixed for build 9. FYI, it's not just a display issue--the gain is actually being changed.Dadwrshpdrum wrote:Specifically I had Bank 1 notes set up for EZDRUMMER2, and my goal was to make bank 2 notes set up for my slave TD-17 module. I'm just noticing today that the eDRUMin app say "MIDI Expression" in the title bar. How have I not noticed this for a year and a half? Will be fixed for build 9.
Re: eDRUMin version 1.4 BETA now available
That must be a Mac thing. The Windows version doesn’t have a title bar. My screenshot on page 3 of this thread is a shot of the entire app as I see it on Windows.Rob wrote:I'm just noticing today that the eDRUMin app say "MIDI Expression" in the title bar. Yup. Fixed for build 9.Mylo wrote:That must be a Mac thing.
In other news, another user discovered a significant problem with crosstalk cancellation. The issue is that it's not being calculated properly for things like x-stick and edge sense which can lead to x-stick articulations being cancelled when they shouldn't be. It'll be most evident on snares with very high x-stick scaler values. I'm going to have to significantly restructure some code for processing inputs--hopefully without introducing new bugs. grr....

Re: eDRUMin version 1.4 BETA now available
I stumbled across a strange one. The TD-17 slave module is missing MIDI notes over USB HOST port when the eDRUMin is not connected to the laptop with the app open. I first noticed this earlier today when I was playing off the TD-17 module sounds and I noticed the module was missing notes. I thought maybe the trigger settings were off so I plugged in the laptop and opened the app to see if something was wrong. It was triggering great once again. So then I unplugged the laptop and the TD-17 started missing notes again. So then I started a roll on the kick, and proceeded to plug in and unplug the USB cable to the laptop multiple times. The TD-17 module went from excellent triggering, with the laptop plugged in, to missing notes, with the laptop unplugged. I'm powering the eDRUMin with the recommended power source so I don't think the eDRUMin has reduced power when not plugged into the laptop.
