I'm seeing an issue when connecting a Behringer BCR2000, but not an M-Audio keyboard and not with eDRUMin devices. Can you do a quick test for me. With the TD-17 connected to the USBHost port on the ED10...
1. Is the eDRUMin control application still functioning properly (checking if the ED10 has crashed or not)?
2. If you hit a pad connected to the TD-17, does the MIDI Out LED on the ED10 flash showing that the ED10 is receiving MIDI from the TD-17?

Re: TD-17 slave module to eDRUMin 10
So I discovered the source of the issue I was seeing. My BCR2000 has got some issue. Won't connect to the ED10, Windows, or macOS. I also have a BCF2000 which is not dead, and I used that to confirm indeed that the ED10 is properly sending USB MIDI data.
So back to you:

Re: TD-17 slave module to eDRUMin 10
1. Yes, the control application is running when when the USB Host is connected to the TD-17. I have seen no control application issues or eDRUMin trigger issues to Abelton and EZDRUMMER2.
2. Yes, the MIDI out led light flashes when I hit a pad, but currently I have no pad connected to the Td-17. All of my pads are connected to the eDRUMin. The only cable into the TD-17 is the USB cable, and my master outs.
However I can attach a pad to the AUX and/or Crash 2 ports of the TD-17. I will let you know if the MIDI from the TD-17 goes to the eDRUMin.
Later tonight, central US time, I should have some data for you.

Re: TD-17 slave module to eDRUMin 10
So I just got a minute to test this. I have all of my pads connected to the eDRUMin. I have CY-5 splash cymbal mounted between the two rack toms on the stock TD-17 rack. I disconnected the TRS cable for the CY5 that runs to the eDRUMin. I then connected a spare TRS cable from the TD-17 AUX port to the CY-5. I set my kit to the EZDRUMMER2 kit I had set up and was using before the eDRUMin arrived in the mail. The bow and edge was set to MIDI note 27 (TD-17 module matches the eDRUMin MIDI note assignment). I hit the pad nothing and nothing happened on EZDRUMMER2 (I had local control set to OFF so TD-17 sound engine is off). I could see on the TD-17 the indicator showed the pad was triggered. I continued to hit the pad and as I got harder the eDRUMin had cross talk issues with one of the rack toms and the ride cymbal. So it appears the eDRUMin is not hosting the TD-17 MIDI BTW I still had the USB driver set to GENRIC.
I have an alesis strike multipad I can test to see if the eDRUMin will host that device.

Re: TD-17 slave module to eDRUMin 10
I did one more test. Same set up as before but this time I also plugged in a MIDI cable from TD-17 MIDI OUT to eDRUMin MIDI IN. The CY-5 worked just fine. Triggered a splash in EZDrummer2 thru eDRUMin. So appears the EDRUMin is having issues with Hosting a TD-17 on USB.

When the TD-17 is plugged into the USB host port and you hit a pad that's connected to the TD-17, does the MIDI out LED on the ED10 flash?

No, the LED does not light up when only MIDI out the TD-17 is to USB HOST. The LED does light up when connected via MIDI cable.
I checked the Alesis Strike Multipad. The USB HOST works for the multipad. Both MIDI OUT from multipad to eDRUMin and MIDI IN multipad from eDRUMin via USB HOST.

Re: TD-17 slave module to eDRUMin 10
Thanks. I'll have to do some research and possibly add some debugging tools so we can figure out what's going wrong.
Re: TD-17 slave module to eDRUMin 10
I think I have this one resolved. The host port wasn't working with USB2.0 MIDI devices. I've made the necessary firmware changes it'll be fixed in the version 1.4.0.5 which I'll post today or tomorrow in the BETA thread after I fix a few more issues.
