Rob asked - Is your hall sensor externally powered?

No but the E10 is plugged into a powered USB hub - a Dlink DUB-H4

The hihat pedal and your linked input 1 should sync to the same bank number. I guess I will need to sync them during the update. Thanks.

Ya, that 16% represents 16% of the device's available program space. I'll see if I can do something else there. Updating the device plugged into the host port is slower by design. If it goes to fast, it could crash both devices and brick the device plugged into the host port.

With the Pedal Editor open (and the hihat connected to ED10), when I then hit a trigger connected to ED4, and go back to a trigger on ED10, the display on the Pedal Editor changes so that the note numbers for both Pedal and Splash are now E-1, and the Gain value is set to 1. This doesn't seem to actually change any of those values internally, so it's possibly just a display bug.
Miscellaneous Roland triggers. ED-10 + ED-4. MacBook Pro (2015), 16G RAM, Big Sur. Superior Drummer 3. Logic Pro.

Hmm... Can't seem to reproduce this here on Windows. Can you confirm you're on build 4?

If my Roland CY12 is plugged into the bell/bow side rather then the Edge/bow I still get a pad compatibility error with the new BETA.

If I plug into the edge bow then switch over inputs I do not get the rror and it works great.

Yep, build 4.

Of note, perhaps: when I close the Pedal Editor, and reopen it, the display values are back to where they should be. But then hitting a trigger on the ED4 again changes them back to E-1.

That is likely telling you that that there is an issue with your pad---probably the bell switch is damaged? I tested with my CY-13R and CY15R and I'm able to connection to either jack without a compatibility warning. I know a lot of people modify their Roland Cymbals to try and make the bell trigger more easy. You haven't done that I assume?

I'm not convinced there's an issue here. I think what's happening is that when you hit the trigger on your ED4, the UI shows you the hihat settings for your ED4, and if you don't wait 1 second before hitting the hihat on your ED10, is doesn't switch back....or something like that.

Except that I don't have a hihat connected to my ED4, but a (dual) footswitch. And in fact, if I switch back right away, the values don't change, only when I linger on the ED4 connected triggers.

As bugs go, I'd agree that this is not high priority. It doesn't affect any actual settings, and unless you play with the Pedal Editor open, you wouldn't notice it.
