Very interesting. You have an audio interface in there as well?

No... unfortunately I couldn’t work one in there and make it look right. The NUC is too small of course to hold a PCI card so I use my Scarlett interface. My plan is to mount my Scarlett to the rack as well.

There are more pictures on my v-drums thread: https://www.vdrums.com/forum/advanced/d ... en”-module

I don’t know what your plans are for vNext but I’d love to chat sometime about my ideas. :D

Very nice setup, so are you using the 20 inputs?

So, here's my take on it.

I'm going to make a bracket to hook to the kick drum.
That will keep all the wires close to the floor, and since I am using stands to set up the kit, it should be cleaner.
I can split my inputs between the two devices, so no long runs of cables.

I'm also going to use USB shielded cables, which will blend well with the chrome of the stands.

Will look like this:

I have a new version. I’ve incorporated a Scarlett 2i2 into my module case.

That's looking sweet. But it's getting to be a pretty hefty box for mounting on a rack.
Still very nicely contained. 3D-printed it seems?

Thanks. Yes, 3D printed. And yes, it is getting heavy. I don’t think it can handle anything else.

My boxens are tucked away under Racktom 1. That way I can't see the cabling mess.
After the latest updates, I don't really need to access the cables anymore anyway.

The cabling mess is the next thing I’d like to tackle.
