I’m very interested in this feature... so I’ll help out.Rob wrote:Changes in build 8I've also added support for updating firmware over the USB host port, but it's not enabled in the Control Application yet. If there are any brave soles who are keen to test this specific feature, let me know.

Thank-you. I'll make another build for you tomorrow.

Does that mean I could update firmware on the ED4 while it’s connected to the ED10? I’d like that.Rob wrote:Changes in build 8I've also added support for updating firmware over the USB host port, but it's not enabled in the Control Application yet. That's oorrect. You can also update an ED10 while it's plugged into another ED10. Works with hubs, too, although I didn't test this extensively.monospace wrote:Does that mean I could update firmware on the ED4 while it’s connected to the ED10? I’d like that.
Here's build 1.3.2.9. It enables host port firmware updating. It contains firmware 1.3.2.9 which, except for the build number, is identical to 1.3.2.8.

Re: eDRUMin version 1.3.2 BETA
What are the steps for testing?
This is what I assume:
1. Update first ED10 via computer USB port.
2. Connect second ED10 via the host port of the first ED10.
3. Update the second ED10.
Sound about right?

Re: eDRUMin version 1.3.2 BETA
I do not think that went well. Problem is I don’t know if it is version 9 or 8.
First I was on version 7 and went straight to 9 using the above steps. It did not go well. Icons weren’t correct. Pressing the icon buttons wouldn’t update the settings... easily noticed because the velocity curve didn’t update. Several UI issues.
So I decided to rollback to 8. All I did was install the software and when I ran it, it’s like it couldn’t read the devices properly.
Rolled back to 7 and everything started working again.
So I’m not sure 8 was good for me so I didn’t really get to test 9.
For what it’s worth, when I did the upgrade over host port test the red device was upgraded over USB and the black device was upgraded over the host port.
Here are some pictures:
Here is 7, everything looks good: Here is after upgrading the software to 8, notice the hi-hats are gone and my red device is missing. And another shot of 8 showing I’m at version 1.0.0.0:
