Newbie: No MIDI "in" - how to hook up MIDI Expression in Standalone

My controller has MIDI OUT and USB OUT. It doesn't have MIDI IN. It also only has a Sustain pedal input.

I'm interested in buying the MIDI Expression with the single input so I can use my FC7 with Hammond B-3X for iOS. I go MIDI Out from the controller to a Korg PlugKey, Lightning out to my iPad.

From reading the MIDI Expression manual, it appears the controller needs to have a MIDI IN DIN. So my question is how exactly would I hook up my FC7 pedal? Or do I need a different controller that has MIDI IN?

If you used an iO, you could connect your controller to the iO MIDI In port and then the iO MIDI out to the Korg PlugKey.
