You're not getting as much voltage range as you should be getting. Take the hat off and push the plunger with your finger and see if you can make it travel further.

It's moving about 10%. That's not great. My VH-10 / 13 move about 35%. Can you try changing the pedal type to expression pedal and see if that makes a difference?

Good job, after experimenting I removed a piece of plastic that stopped it travelling and now there isn't any blue showing after calibration. What next, still not getting a different noise for partial and full open.

Can you please post another video of you calibrating now so I can see what the voltage range is looking like?

That's looking a lot better. I suspect, although I could be wrong, you could get even more range by rising your hat a tiny bit. But it's probably fine as is.
You don't need to make any other changes on the eDRUMin. Any other issues are going to be settings inside SD3.

Thank you Rob,that's very kind. I've got the hi hats mounted so there's an inch between them when they are open by the way.

An inch should be more than enough.

The go edrum hihat is know to not work well with a bottom cymbal. Usually, when the top and bottom are fully closed, the controller is not at his max. Maybe your problem come from that.
