Quick Info (shipment to germany)

Ordered on august 28th, received on september 4th. That's amazingly fast for a package from taiwan - biggest thanks to Rob!!
The package was delivered via Deutsche Post / DHL as "Einschreiben" - no signature was needed (might be due to Covid, though) and it fit into our mailbox.
No additional fees (tax, import duty and so on) were raised.
Couldn't be happier!

Lucky you, I paid 50€ in customs fee... was it the edrumin 4 or 10, I mean the 10 for me

Hm, interesting - it was the edrumin10.
The declaration on the packaging was also correct, including the value.
Really sorry if i just got lucky and gave "wrong" information to potential buyers.

My edrumin4 is stuck at german customs since the 12th of September...

I'm also desperately checking the tracking info (17track.net) multiple times per day.

Also an edrumin10 shipped to germany. Sent on Sep 14th, last tracking update was on Sep 15th ("International Air Mail Section, Exported").
I'm still more than patient, but this unfortunately is also quite beyond those 6 days you mentioned.

well, it's not Rob's fault, the way postal service works right now is completely out of his control...

this is truely unfortunate!
regarding the hold-up at german customs - i can only assume its deutsche post / dhl at it's best again (i.e. the worst) and it already cleared customs and should have been picked up by them already.
they also do have a system in place where they take care of all fees and taxes and send you a notice how much you have to pay them for that service before they deliver it to your address. maybe this is taking more time than usual.
or - and i sincerely hope it's not the case - the notification that customs is expecting some form of action taken by you got lost.

fyi - my delivery was to the very south of germany, maybe there are big differences in how it is handled in different regions...

I just got the customs notice in the mail, the ed4 is in the post office, been hit with 26€ fees.

Did it say if it's "just" the 16% (don't know if you ordered with the usb cable) or plus an additional handling fee (i think it's 6€ for deutsche post, more if it's dhl express or ups)?

Yes,it was 20€ customs and 6€ dhl handling fee
