Well I set it as per the manual, setting first the amount to 0 and threshold to 20 but no matter where I hit the drum all hits fall into the green meter. So I can't set a thresh.Rob wrote:What do you mean wonky? eDRUMin version 1.3.1 BETA
Re: eDRUMin version 1.3.1 BETA
Re: eDRUMin version 1.3.1 BETA
I can confirm this, after installing the 1.3.1 beta my hihat went bananas as well, missing hits specially after a chick or open close action, chicks triggered edge/bow, so I recalibrated 3 times it until I found the settings again to make it playable. Remember to plug and unplug the hihat and controller.Polyphonics wrote:The hihat controller seems to be better now, which is a much needed relief.
However an old foe has paid a visit to me again, which is pedal movement cancelling out cymbal hits despite the link being enabled. Note the lack of white dots when the pedal is moving, crosstalk is set to zero
EDIT: OK so if anyone else is having this while Rob is away, my workaround is literally just:
1. recalibrate pedal
2. cycle through polarity settings until you go back to your original setting
3. cycle impact/pedal in the same way
4. play hihat for a bit
Re: eDRUMin version 1.3.1 BETA
lalo, you're using a VH-10 right? Pedal mode or impact?
Re: eDRUMin version 1.3.1 BETA
No, it's a zildjian low volume 14" from diamond drums with a goedrum controller in impact mode...Rob wrote:lalo, you're using a VH-10 right? Pedal mode or impact?
Re: eDRUMin version 1.3.1 BETA
Thanks Mylo! I got it now..Mylo wrote:With metal cymbals mounted with a slight tilt toward the drummer and with the piezo box and cable on the front as defined by the picture, gravity does a pretty good job of keeping the “front” toward the player. Complete 360 spinning isn’t really a problem, at least for me.
Essentially they are saying, move the piezo where it is least likely to be hit directly. (Which is what it really means when people say a side mounted trigger eliminates a hot spot. No... the hot spot over the sensor is still there but mounted in a spot where it won’t be hit.)
Re: eDRUMin version 1.3.1 BETA
Changes in build 4
- More positional sensing tweaks
Re: eDRUMin version 1.3.1 BETA
Installed it and the issue center hits trigger off center came back but now also at higher velocities... so back to build 3 which was working fine( still not smooth transition from center to off center hits though)
Re: eDRUMin version 1.3.1 BETA
I've been doing that trick I saw Luke Oswald do on his stream: dramatically detuning the three articulations to better hear the transitions. It sure seems that build 3 had a more consistent crossover between edge, off center, and center. Not super noticeable when I reset the tunings, but that also depends greatly on which snare model I choose.

Re: eDRUMin version 1.3.1 BETA
There's one small change I made that could leave some center hits register off center if HSS settings were not optimal. I'll change it back to how it was in build 3.
Re: eDRUMin version 1.3.1 BETA
Are you using SD3? One thing I notice is that when hitting the center the edrumin 10 doesn't send CC 0, in luke oswald video every time he hits the center it sends CC 0 and then as he hits off center to edge the CC number changes accordingly. For me it only starts sending CC as I hit towards the edge and it sends 64 or 84.Rob wrote:There's one small change I made that could leave some center hits register off center if HSS settings were not optimal.
