Splitters in the UK

Post by TheJay »

Hey, I am on the prowl for six 6.35mm male y adapter splitter cables.

More specifically, adapter cables that split the straight 1/4” TRS cable into two 1/4” mono female cables with a 100 ohm resistor soldered inside the splitter.

Drumtec sell one for 29 Euro
drum-tec e-drum splitter stereo plug to 2x mono jack

GAK sell one for £19.20 (can't confirm if it has a built in resistor)
Roland RCC-10-TR28 Black Stereo Jack to Dual Jack Y Cable, 10ft/3m

Does anyone know of a suitable splitter cable with the resistor built in that isn't quite as expensive?

Why do you need a resistor?

Edit: I ask because I bought a couple of these (~£6) and they work great:

All the decent ones have it. The resistor stops 2 zones from battling each other by lowering the signal from the other side.

I need them for at least three lots of cymbals. It's likely most important on the three zone hi hat I have to combine two of three triggers/outputs and minimise cross triggering.

Ah, so you're not splitting 2 separate pads into 1 input, but 2 trigger zones on a single pad into 1 input?

Just ordered mine from Jobeky. If they meet your specs I've no idea, but Jobeky is well respected in the industry I guess...

Jobeky splitters don't have a resistor in them and won't work with metal cymbals if combining outputs from two piezos on a single cymbals such as hi hat or ride as a result.
