Would it be possible to implement a patch / feature, in which a patch equals all the MIDI Channels and Note #’s for each trigger? I'm looking for a way to switch individual triggers among several sound sources, without having to go into the control interface.
I’m not trying to change all the pads at once. Usually it will be two or three that need to change from one song to another, and not always the same 2-3 pads. I have not found a clean way to do this, but I think patch presets would be one easy answer. Easy for the drummer, no idea what's involved for the programmer. if this can be done with program changes, I’m ok with that, as it seems like Gig Performer would be a fine tool for this job. The manual doesn’t quite make sense to me in regards to changing these settings on the e10.
Thanks for reading this.

You can already change both MIDI Channel and Note Numbers using the bank switcher. You can't change a specific group of inputs/triggers all at once, but you could either create banks where only a few inputs change while the others stay the same, and update "All Inputs" with a footswitch; or you could use the "Current Input" selector, which would change only the last trigger you tapped, and repeat that as necessary.

Thanks. Theoretically, I could get by with each trigger having up to 4 different MIDI channels and note numbers, if the method for switching wasn’t “one-or-all”, and if it was easier. Otherwise, having only 4 banks is a limitation, so I’m looking for some additional flexibility in this area. If it's not a useful feature for many users, I’ll keep working on another way to do it. Seems like I should be able to create a front end for this in Gig Performer. Still a newb there, so we'll see.monospace wrote:You can already change both MIDI Channel and Note Numbers using the bank switcher. Re: Feature request/question re:Note#/Channel
Perhaps in a future version there could be a way to assign a group to an input such that if the bank of any input belonging to the group changed, all the inputs belonging to the same group would also change. I think that would be doable and would enhance the existing functionality as opposed to replacing it.
Then I'm sure someone would come along and want an input to belong to multiple groups...

I've mentioned this before, but being able to copy settings from one bank to another would be a timesaver for this. That way you could set up all inputs for Bank 1, copy them across to all the others, and only make changes on specific inputs as needed. Maybe raise the amount of banks to, say, 8 or 16 (and being able to name them for clarity) would allow for a lot of flexibility.
Come to think of it, that's how I used User Kits on my old module.
