edrumin for piano pedal

Post by jacko »

is it possible to use the edrumin hi-hat input as a midi-expression device (using a piano pedal) in conjunction with a keyboard midi controller? i use my edrumin for drums but i’m wondering if i can also use it, separately, as a midi expression device for this specific function with midi keys.

i have read these threads but they are not quite asking the same thing:

Just plug in your sustain pedal and change it from 'bank change' to 'control change'. I think you'll want to have it send CC 64.

I'm using one of my ED4's to add a second expression pedal to a midi controller
