I had fiddled with making the bow sound louder in Superior Drummer but that's treating the sympton rather than the cause and for some reason doesn't really play right. Also you have to edit each kit. I ended up favoring the edge. I followed Rob's suggestions earlier in this thread and now my bow is playing like it should (PCY135)

I also just posted this in the "Tips & Tricks" sub-forum, but if you want to make your chicks and splashes louder, increase the "travel" value on the pedal settings page. 70-75 works great with my VH-10.

Do you have a setting that works reliably for the bell sense for the hihat?

I actually haven't messed with Bell Sense for the hihat yet. It's intriguing that it's an option, but it was never something I would play on an acoustic kit either. From my experience setting it up on my CY-13RC and CY-15R, any value between 50 and 70 should trigger reliably.
