Midi Expression with Zoom FP02M

Post by min »

Hi all

Just wondering how the midi expression works with Zoom FP02M? Is the Zoom a passive expression pedal that goes straight into the midi expression which connects to USB input on computer? Or does anyone know if the Zoom pedal requires power? Does the MIDI expression (single one) need a powered expression pedal or can it work with passive pedals?

That pedal will work fine with a MIDI Expression. As far as I know, all expression pedals are passive devices.

Great to hear. Does this mean the zoom pedal has the correct polarity? Does this mean the pedal will work with the midi expression adapter via USB no external power needed? Can anyone inform if optional USB cable is USB 2 or USB c?

MIDI Expression inputs are auto polarity reversing, so no concerns there. There no need for external power. As explained on the purchase page, it takes a USB 2.0 type B cable.
