TD50 - Midi Thru eDRUMin Question

I am using a TD50 to trigger to Superior Drummer via midi to an RME HDSPe AIO on my PC. I want to add the eDRUMin to use with Yamaha toms and possibly ATV hi hats. Will the midi thru on the TD50 work or do I need to use USB to the computer and select both the audio interface and the eDRUMin as midi sources. Ultimately, I am looking for the lowest latency.

Both devices via USB will give you the lowest latency.

Thanks Rob, I just reconfigured the TD50 and Superior to use USB. I ordered a unit today. I posted another question about the Yamaha silicon pads. Would you mind providing some feedback?
