Yeah Rob,
sorry.
Those who can read have a clear advantage ...
It's way better in the new Build 3 Version.
I did a quick test, because here in German it is 2:00 AM, and I have to sleep.
I am not shure, but I think there are still some subtle doubles, but only on some ghost notes, I would say.
If you need some more information, let me know.
May you explain what was the reason and what you have adjusted?
Rob, your support is outstanding! Thanks a lot!
The eDrums and your device will keep my sons and me busy during the COVID-19 lock down in Germany.
That has a direct effect on my wifes mood, leading to a 2nd order in the future.
Actually, the german government has called disaster in several federal states.
Best regards!
Manuel
Millenium MPS-850 / Alesis compatible?
Re: Millenium MPS-850 / Alesis compatible?
The "feature" / "issue" is related to trying to ensure proper transient alignment for pads that produce noisy data. Having proper transient alignment is necessary for getting consistent, accurate, and smooth triggering. Some noisy trigger setups can produce tiny amplitude spikes before the main transient. These tiny spikes basically cause scanning to start earlier than it should. The feature basically says "here's a little transient, better start scanning....oh wait here's a much bigger transient, better restart scanning".
It possible that it needs a bit more adjusting, but I will wait until after I get the next update to take another look as I already have my hands full.

Re: Millenium MPS-850 / Alesis compatible?
Hi Rob,
noisy in a sense of xtalk or really noisy inputs.
I would really like to know the procedures of your algorithm.
I was messing around with an Arduino Uno... And a lot of source code just start scanning if the readout is larger than a certain threshold value. Then scanning and search peaks. The last thing i got stuck with was using the interrupt method... Then I quit. Maybe I will try again for a trigger pad.
Bye

Again double trigger
Hi Rob,
now I am confused.
Now the effect is similar to what I had before the firmware update...
Strange.

Re: Millenium MPS-850 / Alesis compatible?
Hi,
this is way suspect. Maybe its a MIDI feedback, somehow. I had the eDRUMin plugged in via USB and the MIDI cable to the drum module thats
connected via USB.
But I unplugged the MIDI cable and its still generating double triggers...

Re: Millenium MPS-850 / Alesis compatible?
Only for a single pad right? I don't think it would be some sort of feedback. Give me a couple more days to get a beta for version 1.1 done, and then if that hasn't resolved the double triggering for your pad, I'll investigate further.
Re: Millenium MPS-850 / Alesis compatible?
I've created a thread with links to the eDRUMin 1.1 BETA. See if it resolves your issues. If it does not, contact me via technical support and we will solve your problem by exporting data from you device so I can see what's going wrong.
Cheers,
Rob

Rob, you're the best! I will try it this evening.
Re: Millenium MPS-850 / Alesis compatible?
Hi,
Sorry to warm up this relatively old thread. But I also own a Millennium MPS-850 e-drum set and am struggling with the same problems as the OP initially described. Unlike the OP, however, I have very limited knowledge in electrical engineering and would therefore like to ask whether I can nevertheless use the 10-channel eDRUMin module to connect the drums to a computer. Are any modifications to the electrical connections needed, and if so, are they doable for a layman?
My other question concerns the requirements for the computer. I use EZdrummer on a quite old MacBook that only has OSX 10.13.6 (High Sierra) and cannot be upgraded. Speed is not an issue, but I wonder if the eDRUMin software requires e more recent OS.
Thank you very much for any help.
Kind regards,
Jensos

Re: Millenium MPS-850 / Alesis compatible?
You don't need to modify the pads, you just plugged the pads directly to the edrumin10 and then to your mac, but if you don't have experience with setting up Edrums you will need to read the manual and understand all the modifiable parameters on the app. Your mac is good enough for Ez drummer but you will need an audio interface to avoid latency.
