When using splitters, both pads operate independently and can trigger simultaneously.

Bell sense is only optimized for Roland CY-15R and CY-13R at the moment. I do plan to add support for more cymbals in the future, but for now you'll have to use two inputs.

As Rob already stated it works flawlessly. I split a jack between my bass drum and a single zone China cymbal. Works great.

Here is a thread that discusses splitters and which one I ultimately bought for my purposes.

Hey Rob - if I run 2 or more eDRUMin’s, do they need to be different colored modules? I’ve noticed in the GUI that you’re identifying the modules by color, so I was wondering if you ran 2 of the same color if they would have any issues in defining which was which... I’m assuming the answer is that it doesn’t matter, but I was curious if it in fact does pose any issues in management...

In my experience crosstalk has never been an issue.

I use a Gibralter rack and hardware. Five cymbals and three toms are attached to it. I run four eDRUMins and not a single crosstalk issue. My splash is on a boom attached to my crash boom... still no problems.

I don’t see this being an issue. Assigning colors is really for your benefit to help identify each device in the Ui. All my devices are physically black but I have assigned them different colors to easily identify them in the UI. Also when you assign them different colors they show up in other applications like Superior Drummer 3 as eDRUMin Green or eDRUMin Blue.

MachRider wrote:Thank you for this info Mylo. So you ARE able to configure FOUR different eDRUMin's with the software? That would be very very encouraging. Thought I saw where it might be a problem with software configuring >1 of these at a time.

Heck, if I can do that (and get them shipped...) I can probably just use eDRUMin's for my kit and not need a megadrum just yet.

Thanks,
MachRider
Yes... the controller software can see and configure four different devices at once. The images in the manual show what it looks like with multiple devices connected. Page 25 in version 1.0.4.0 of the manual discusses changing the color of the device.

The MegaDrum was nice when it was the only option but if you want to spend more time playing instead of configuring, get the eDRUMin. Even with 10 drums + cymbals you’ll be up and running in 30 minutes. :D
