Is A2E center piezo plus rim piezo

Post by dsteinschneider »

What pad type should I choose if I have an A2E center piezo plus a rim piezo for the snare?

The center is tip and the rim is ring so according to the manual I'm thinking I should choose Dual Piezo Pad Yamaha Style

If I unplug all the inputs - reset the pads - plug them back in should the eDrumin sense which type and correctly choose the right configuration?

Thanks

I can answer my own question - it appears that when I unplug the pad - click reset that pad - choose center piezo and plug it back in it correctly configures itself.

For a Dual piezo pad, you should be using wither the Mesh Center Mounted sensor pad type or the Mesh Side Mounted sensor pad type. The Yamaha pad types are all piezo / switch type configurations. If you try to select one of those, the eDRUMin will display an exclamation mark next to the image of the input, showing that there's a compatibility issue.

What version of the Control Application are you using?
